The PRF-3004 is a system that consists of an in-ground radio fence that
allows you to set a training perimeter for your dog with 500 feet of wire and 50
training flags. Our PRF-3004 lets you train your dog in a very easy way, without
so much hassle. Equipped with a nylon collar strap, the PRF-3004 pet containment
system can be extended to a coverage area of over 10 acres with the aid of extra
boundary wires and training flags.
The ultra-light waterproof receiver unit that is associated with an adjustable
collar makes it the biggest hit of our Petsafe PRF-3004. In addition, it is very
easy to use and set within minutes, and there are even tips that you can find
online in case of trouble. In fact, online information can be very handy when it
comes to solving minor problems, such as installation, battery change, etc.
There is also the possiblity of purchaising a PUL-275 collar, which is
compatible with the PRF-3004 system and makes the whole process even easier.
Operated using an RFA-67 battery unit, the system comes with a test light
indicator that proves to be utile in trouble shooting. The PRF-3004 system comes
with a collar that is perfectly compatible with any other containment system
produced by Petsafe.
The success of the in ground pet containment unit totally relies on the product,
the installation and the training that the pet owners offer their pets. Of
course, the results that the system provides in dog training is what makes dog
owners like the product.
Tips on Training with the PRF-3004
Always take some time to sit down and draw the desired perimeter rather than
just go and do it on an impulse. The flags that are installed with the perimeter
allow your dog to indentify the limits which it can't go beyond. With a leash,
spend some days with your dog walking close to the perimeter so he can memorize
it, and whenever it comes close to it, make him come back by offering a treat.
Then, turn on the invisible fence; again walk close to it with your pet, but
pull back every time the waring tone sounds. That way, your dog will learn to
pull back on its own whenever it hears the warning tone.
Then gradually progress to an off lead training session and reward your dog when
he resists going through the perimeter. If you want further instruction on how
