I was hoping it would not take, but it looks like my one year old Boston Terrier did get pregnant, since she growing. The father was being watched by us while the owner was on vacation, we were so careful…except that one time. ouch! Its been 5 weeks now and I afraid to let her go through with the pregnancy. any thoughts?
Mistake happen all the time, nothing you can do about it now since she is pregnant but now that you know the babies are on the way, start finding responsible homes for them, don't give the pups to just anyone who thinks they are cute and cuddly, even if they are cross bred and mix breeds, there are responsible pet owners who will love your babies. ask for a small re-homing fee just to make sure they get good homes. here is a link to help you determine the due date.

good luck and after the pups are born , consider spaying and neutering your pets.

don’t worry so much..they won’t be retarded or anything but cute..love them and find them good homes which i know you won’t have a problem doing..

She’s too young. If you allow her to go through with the pregnancy, there’s a high risk that both the mother and puppies will have complications, especially since the pups are inbred.
If I were you, I’d get an abortion at your vet’s, or an emergency spay if you don’t plan to show/breed her. It’s really too dangerous to let her go through with the pregnancy.

Father/daughter breeding isn't as bad as brother/sister breeding…. (I learned from animal genetics.)
She should have had an emergency spay done right after they were bred. Get her to the vet now!!!
Wait a minute…. New user ID?

I don’t know if you can actually find a vet to do an abortion, in the future there is a sort of morning after remedy for accidental breedings but there is a time limit on when it can be given.
If the mother and father of the pregnant dog were not closely related the coming puppies should be fine. This is not something I recommend or would do on purpose. and you would ddefinitely no

It wasn't too smart to care for someone elses entire male dog when your female was in heat.
If you had taken her to the vet in the first couple of weeks she could have been spayed. I think it's a bit late now to be afraid to let her go through the pregnancy. Why didn't you do something before now.
ETA. I just saw your dog is only a puppy herself. How sad.

Not only is it hard on her body at such a young age, but the pups won’t be right.
My mom got a dog that was inbred like that as well. Great dog, but her body was more like a dauchound than a sheltland sheepdog.
Call your vet, I’d terminate the pregnancy and get her spayed at the same time.
References :
Have her spayed. Pet quality puppies/dogs are not meant for breeding.
or
Get the abortion shot from the vet.
and
Have him neutered, to prevent future “accidents”.
Call the owner and tell them, then sit back and wait for the lawsuit.

Why are you horrified? Incest is a human concept not an animal's.
If you were so worried about pregnancy you should have taken the dog to the vet after the mating so conception could be prevented. The pups should be fine but you should have been more careful.
Start saving for the caesarian as bostons usually can't deliver naturally.

This is actually an acceptable method of breeding in order to maintain certain lines of the breed.
