My friend has a dog that’s 1/2 Dachshund and 1/2 Boston Terrier. It’s really funny looking but he’s got an adorable personality so it doesn’t matter. I wish I had a picture to show of him, he’s just so different looking! I told my friend he should enter that “World’s Ugliest Dog Contest” on Animal Planet and he laughed. It was sad how he got him. He was actually from a Boston Terrier rescue group that had gotten him and two litter mates from a horrible backyard breeder who had I guess around 50 toy dogs in really bad conditions. Luckily, I believe most of them found homes. I currently have 2 purebred Shetland Sheepdogs but I’ve had some wonderful mixed breeds. My favorite was my Lab/Shepherd (a very common mix) named Walter. He was a wonderful companion and everyone loved him! Anyways, if anyone has an unusual mix, do you have a picture? I’d love to see them!
My dog, Slink, is a Corgi/Sheltie mix (I call him a Sheltorgi). He pretty much looks like a Cardigan Corgi, just a little bigger and with a longer, pointier nose.
Here’s a picture of him: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b194/lbeaty1981/slink2.jpg

At the dog park there are two very funny mixes.
One is a Pit Bull/Dachshund mix named Oscar. He looks like an overgrown dachshund with a Pit Bull head. He's probably 8 or 9 inches tall. I always joke about that wondering if he'd be considered a "vicious" dog:)
The other is a German Shepherd, Chihuahua mix. She looks like a very much overgrown Chihuahua with Shepherd colors. She comes up to just below my knees. I'm 6ft. Can't remember her name.
Edit: Why the thumbs down? They are funny looking(but awesome) dogs. I know the Pit Bull/Dachshund mix, the mama was a Pit Bull. As for the other, the owner said she thought the mama was the GSD.
I forgot about another funny mix that was at the dog park. A chinese crested hairless/italian greyhound. He had the body of the Italian Greyhound and was hairless(except for the mowhawk and fur on it's ankles). That was one ugly dog.

At the shelter I worked at a litter of German Shepherds x Dacshunds were surrendered. Poor mum was the Dacs! Freakin irresponsible owners, it was a large litter of 8 as well, mum was lucky to survive. They were a weird bunch of pups, all had long bodies, stumpy legs and shepherd coats. Some had the ears of a shep and some had the ears of the dacs. They were a very vocal and outgoing litter, they didn’t really seem to have the personality of sheps or dacs! Luckily they all seemed quite healthy and found new homes quickly.

My sister once got a puppy because her neighbors were at a park and someone drove by the park and threw the puppy out a car window. Her neighbors got the puppy, but they were getting stationed over seas, and my sisters family just got back from overseas, so she kept the puppy. We had a mixed breed dog that followed my mom home from horse back riding one day. My parents tried to return the dog to the farmer several times, and the dog just kept coming back to our house, so my parents ended up paying the farmer for the dog. He was the best dog we had as a child.
