My husband and I recently rescued a female pitbull who we knew through relatives that were not taking care of her at all, she has had 2 litters already and is only a little over a year old. She is under weight and her nipples hang down to the floor and look very uncomfortable. We are debating on keeping her or trying to find her a home we are right now just fostering her. So anyway I have a few questions:
1. will her breasts ever go back to normal? (she had pups about 2 months ago and they are not with her)
2. Can she be trusted and ever get along with my other FEMALE boston terrier who is about 8 months old and very hyper! I just herad that female pitbulls are not good with other female dogs and one snap and my boston would be dead.
anyone have experience or suggestions? They met already and we take them on walks but am so afraid the pit will snap, she is VERY friendly with humans though.
Thanks in advance.
and no she did not fight and is a rather submissive dog.
Thanks again!
I don't see why not. As long as you monitor their play she will be fine. Just as soon as you see any signs of aggression from either dog, nip it right there. Cause any Terrier is gonna be feisty. But I have 2 rescued male pits and they play rough but that's how they play. I think that as long as she was not abused like beated or a previous fighting dog she should be fine.

no breed or gender just "snaps" if you are seeing signs of dog aggression then do not have them together, if she is getting along with the other dog then there should be no problems. I would separate them for feeding time, you do not know if she is food aggressive and dogs that were not properly fed can tend to guard their food. Read up on this breed, they can be great dogs with the training and socialization. Take her to the vet and have them check her out and definitely have her spayed. Her breasts will not go back to how they were before but they will shrink in time.

pits by nature don't do well with other dogs. but, i had a pit and a beagle mix for years together with no problems until recently. i'm not sure how or why the fight started but it was terrible and i ended up giving up my pit to my girlfriend. she says she's with the other dogs around her all the time and have no problems. my trainer told me that spayed females over the age of 5 that have been together a long time are the ones that could tend to fight. it's hard to say how they'll do. walking them together is a good start. don't put up with anything-a growl, a glare, stare-nothing. make them focus on you. get a muzzle for both, get them used to it and use it if you feel uncomfortable. if you're stressed, the dogs will be too. and about being submissive, that could all change if they end up living together. don't assume it will stay that way. and i happy you are not anti-pit bull. good for you!

Unless you're Husbands name is Cesar Millan, I wouldn't bring a pit into your house. If you are really serious about this dog, talk to a trainer who is good with powerful breeds. Even in play, one wrong move from your pit could kill your little dog. There are tons of rescue groups too if you find that you are not 100 trusting of your pit. Pits are just bred to be dog aggressive, like terriers are bred to be unsafe with little animals. Unless you are willing to seriously take the time to control any hidden dog issues with your pit, I wouldn't trust it with your little dog. Her breasts should shrink substantially but her nipples will stay long. GET HER FIXED!
