Why Do They Have Rescues for Curtain Dogs?

Shouldn't Mutts get a place to go to instead of a pound

they have a rescue for poodles,Boston terriers ,Beagles
everything but Mutts
The only place around my home with mutts is the pound

Some rescues will take dogs that have a smidgen of the breed they rescue. As for the rest, animal shelters take in mutts of all kinds.

They do. There's a 'small dog rescue' in our area, as well as a 'fluffy dog rescue' for long haired mutts.

Check with the vets in your area or call your shelter, they'll know about some, if not all, of the rescues in your city.

Breed specific rescues often include mixes with that breed as well. Or just mixes in general if the dog's personality happens to fit well with the foster homes.
Breed specific rescues typically tend to focus on the one certain breed because they have experience with the breed, and know how to provide for and accommodate the breed, as well as know what kind of home the dog would be best suited in. With a mutt, there really is no "standard"

There are also all breed rescues, which will take most any dog in, no matter the breed.

Rescues are privately opened shelters, which means they can accept or decline any animal they want, kinda messed up, but that's how it is.There are some rescues that accept all dogs though :)

A mutt is any dog that is a mixed breed . 2 or more breeds. They will usually go to a rescue that helps dogs that they most look like or or personality. There may be rescues that only take pure bred animals but I haven't seen one. When a dog is rescued most often the rescuers will have no knowledge of the dogs back ground or history. So they do have rescues for mutts.

I've never heard of "Curtain" dogs

Is that the same as a Drape Dog?

Because some of us care deeply about our breed and are willing to go that extra mile to be sure a pup has a chance at a forever home. Our particular Corgi rescue also takes in Corgi mixes when we have space available. There are just too many dogs, and we can't save them all, so we put our energy where our hearts are.
