Where can I find a Boston Terrier breeder in Michigan?

I am interested in getting a male boston terrier pup in about a month. I am willing to put down a deposit now.

Save yourself at least 1400 dollars. If you really want a good dog, try going to an animal rescue shelter and see what they have. You can find all kinds of loyal, loving, cuddly and SMART, trainable dogs there…and for a lot less money. When you pay exorbitant prices for questionably bred "purebred"? dogs, you cheat yourself, and add to the pet overpopulation problem, and generally end up paying less than 100.00 for the dog at a shelter. Many shelters have purebred or near purebred, and hybrid dogs. I'm sure you would be able to find one to your liking!

You will be lucky to find a breeder with a litter on the ground and has any that aren't already going to someone on a waiting list.

Try the Boston Terrier Parent Club, they have a website of breeders in that area. In addition there is a Boston Terrier Club of Detroit that has meetings, puppy matches and a specialty show. This club is located around Detroit not actually in the city. I think the Recording Secretary for the club is or was Mira Jilbert. There are breeders in Coldwater and many other locations in Michigan. Besides the Boston Terrier Club there are many All Breed Clubs in Michigan where Boston's would be shown. Some publications that might help would be "Dog World" located at any pet store or book store and the AKC Gazette. Hope this helps.

Are you sure this is the right breed for you? Always research your breed before buying. Find out more info about them here: http://www.bostonterrierclubofamerica.org/about-boston-terriers/boston-terrier-breeder-referral.htm. That's the Boston Terrier Breed Club. This might also help you: http://www.akc.org/breeds/boston_terrier/index.cfm. So make sure that dog breed is right for you before buying it!

If you have found that this is the right breed for you, http://www.bostonterrierclubofamerica.org/about-boston-terriers/boston-terrier-breeder-referral.htm should be able to hook you up with a reputable breeder! Other great places to look:

I live in Michigan too, and let me tell you, there are A LOT of irresponsible breeders in this state. So watch out.. MI is heavy with BYBs!

I found my baby girl in the classifieds. She is AKC and absolutely perfect, plus about $300 less than a commercialized breeder.

I have a male Boston terrier that I am thinking of selling or giving to my nephew. I’m leaving the city and I want him to have a good home. He is a very good dog. He is house trained, good with kids, and doesn’t bark much. If you are intrested please email me and we can talk.
